Superscripting Numbers in Word Processors
Microsoft Word
Select the number you want to superscript, and then:
1. Select ÒFontÉÓ from the Format Menu, or type Control+D (Windows)/Command+D (Macintosh).
2. In the ÒFontÓ part of the dialog box, choose a smaller size (9 points is usually about right).

3. In the ÒCharacter SpacingÓ part of the dialog box, choose ÒraisedÓ and allow the default of 3 points.

4. Note: if youÕre using Word for the Macintosh, you can use the Formatting Palette to do this in one mouse click. Select the character you want to superscript, and then click on the superscript control on the palette (itÕs midway on the right):
